Lou, Sal & Chloe Jas & Lou Engaged!

Christmas and Ashburnham where we got engaged!

Hello hello fellow Xangarians! Well I haven't been on for a while and feel the need to complete an update dump!

Currently sitting in my room doing revision! I have one exam left and it should be quite straightforward- I hope! It's a practical and having just had an outpatients placement I should be ok.

Christmas was lovely, so great to have a break and catch up with people in Brighton. I love christmas at home, with all the family and it was great this year to have the extra addition of a certain boyfriend...now fiance! Sounds strange to say! You know when your younger and whenever you think of anyone getting married you always think of people older....like when you say 'when I grow up I want to be....' well I still feel like anyone getting married is older than me!! I still have the common sense of someone about 12 and enjoy girlie sleepovers and doing each others hair!! Yet in 7months and one day I will be saying 'I do' and forever living with a boy!!!!!!

But that does make me smile! I'm a very happy girl and without getting soppy I can't wait!

So anyway....If you hadn't already guessed (must have fallen asleep momentarily there!) I got engaged at New Year to the very gorgeous Mr Jason Brown. The date is set as the 18th August 2007- so keep the date free!! We've so far arranged quite a lot (well Jason has- I think he's keen!) My housemates talk about my wedding more than I do and are currently in debate as to whether I should keep Bedford in my surname and be Louise Bedford- Brown? Any thoughts? They think it sounds quite posh! I'm not so sure....quite like the simplicity of Brown! All wedding magazines are currently hidden in a bottom drawer until my exams are over- started to get distracting!! I can see how people say that a wedding takes over their lives, you could quite easily talk about nothing else if you wanted to!

But I will not and therefore my blog will not become one of wedding updates! Instead it will be faithful naritives of the upcoming fun and frolics to be had!! The agony of trying to loose 25st in 7months (minor exageration!) and to also complete the 2nd year of the degree I seem to forget that I'm doing!!

Right back to revision!! Stay smiling!

Update!

Just thought I would compile a quick update whilst I wait for mum to collect me from the hospital- I can't wait to see her!

We started to get festive in the hospital today- put up tinsel in the office and around the gym- all quite tacky!! All the staff are going out tonight for the Christmas 'do'! Quite glad I have the day off tomorrow so I don't have to witness the hangover's tomorrow. My educator isn't quite so glad as it means she has a lot of work to do tomorrow! Sharing a tiny apartment with 4 other girls is really starting to get hard now, there was a lot of tension last night and everyone is tired from lack of sleep and time alone! Doesn't help that were trying to prepare for exams and write 2 essays for after christmas! Oh well w/e time for now!

Had some hilarious patient's in this week! One gentleman came in complaining of back pain everywhere down his spine. I got him to lie down and with the smallest amount of pressure he yelped! Thinking he must be having me on I sat him up and pushed down on his head- he yelped again. Ah ha he was telling porkie pies! There is no way pushing on his head could ever hurt his back! Was tempted to say 'well you tested positive for a fake test' but did restrain. Another guy (also back pain) required mobs and some massage and in the process of doing this I think I popped about 3 of his oozy spots! Just what you want before lunch!

Mum has just arrived....will finish update anon!

Ok ok Liza I will grace xanga once again with my writing and comedy skills!

I'm currently in Southend on placement and totally shattered! I've tapped into someone's wireless...and managed to sit in a corner of the flat that gives me one bar of signal! Seems very rushed and crazy that I'm here, feels like only a few weeks ago that I started my second year! Getting here was a bit mad and rushed, I had an exam on the wednesday then I had an essay due in on Monday that for about a week I kept thinking only a few more hours of work to go! I think Jason just started to think 'yeah yeah'!!

Anyway I arrived here late on Sunday night having forgotten many things that I need and only to find out that I was sharing a double bed with someone who I don't really know at all! Suffice to say I've had two quite rubbish nights sleep and have doubts that I will ever be able to share a bed!!

My clinical educator is really nice but determined that I do as much as possible and she is determined to push me as hard as she can. I'm sure i'll look back and be grateful but for now it's just all quite overwhelming and not very enjoyable! I didn't finish until after 6 today after starting at 8am and had back to back patients with 30mins for lunch! How am i now still awake!?? well I'm not getting very much sympathy from my computer!! I'm home for a bit this weekend- Rachel do you want to meet up?! Looking forward to Stuart's gig- anyone else going?!

Even though I am a tired bunny I'm very happy in general, looking forward to Christmas and taking a few days off! Feel like I haven't caught up with people in ages- Hayley u haven't blogged in ages! U settled back home again?

ok well I can't keep my eyes open so I'm going to look up some shoulder muscles ready to be tested on them tomorrow and then it's bedtime!

Loads of Love to you all

Lou x

Don't know why the same entry is there twice....that's rather silly and most likely to be my fault!

Post 21st Birthday

Well well, I'm currently sitting in a different place in the Library....way beyond what normal students would stay here untill! I think I fell asleep for like 4 seconds during my lecture today...oops - it was quite boring though!

Had a fantastic birthday. The best thing was it went on forever!! On the Thursday my housmates came and woke me up and lead me downstairs where they had decorated the house in pink balloons and banners! They had make me a cake too and we sat eating cake & opening some pressie's!! After 7 hours of lectures I came home and had a dinner party! Was such a precious time with my closest friends up here and we literally laughed for the whole evening and played some crazy games! Jason then came up in the evening which was lovely...he had a pink goodie bag of presents for me...including a pink ipod! He is very lovely and spoilt me too much!! Friday was a chill out day...can't actually remember what we did? Think I went to the library at some point? Managed to smuggle Jason in (in his herts uni hoodie!).

On Saturday mum and dad came up which was lovely, my room is now very pink with the addition of pink curtains and a pink rug! Liza came which was really very good indeed- I love her very much, and not just because I now have lots more Edwards Monkton stuff!!

I had a cream tea in the afternoon to which about 30 or so people from church came. Was such lovely weather and we had a good laugh and time in the sun. Thanks to Jason for running the creche upstairs in my room for all the crazy little boys I know, dressing the skeleton etc! Had about 2 hours rest before I had a party in the evening for all my Uni mates which was also quality! My amazing mum made me two huge cakes which were both very very yummy! She also made about 100 scones for the afternoon!

Will put some photos up at some point, when I finally get internet in the house...silly ntl waiting times!
